Registering on the waiting list for the COVID-19 vaccination with the Janssen vaccine (Johnson & Johnson®)

Residents aged 18 or above have the opportunity to register online on a waiting list and express their interest in being voluntarily vaccinated against COVID-19 with the Janssen vaccine (Johnson & Johnson®).

After registration on the waiting list, the persons concerned will receive an invitation to be vaccinated by postal mail.

Those who are interested can register:

  • either on 1 of the 2 waiting lists (Vaxzevria or Janssen);
  • or on both waiting lists (Vaxzevria and Janssen).

The 1st vaccination invitation received automatically cancels the 2nd registration option.

Please note that invitations are sent out depending on the availability of the Janssen vaccine (Johnson & Johnson®). After registering on the waiting list, depending on the number of people on the waiting list and the volume of vaccines received, it may take several weeks or months to receive the invitation.

Who is concerned

All residents aged 18 or above.

Please note that if the person who wishes to register on the waiting list in order to be vaccinated has one of the following health problems, they must first contact their general practitioner:

  • severe reaction after having received a vaccination;
  • cancer, leukaemia, HIV/AIDS infection or a significant reduction in immune defences;
  • other chronic diseases of the immune system (rheumatoid polyarthritis, Crohn's disease, psoriasis, other autoimmune diseases);
  • clotting disorder or treatment with blood thinner medication (anticoagulants other than aspirin).


The vaccination is free of charge.

How to proceed

Those concerned and wishing to be vaccinated with the Janssen vaccine (Johnson & Johnson®) can register using the electronic assistant available on, without needing a LuxTrust product or an electronic identity card

When registering on the waiting list, the applicant must specify:

  • their national identification number (matricule);
  • their surname and first names as they appear on the social security card;
  • their email address.

The email address provided during online registration will be used to receive confirmation that the application has been transmitted. This confirmation informs the applicant that their registration on the waiting list has been taken into account.

It must be noted that the confirmation of transmission of their application received by email is not an invitation to be vaccinated.

People on the list will receive an invitation to be vaccinated by postal mail depending on the availability of the Janssen vaccine (Johnson & Johnson®).

It is only possible to make an appointment for the vaccination if the invitation letter with the code has been received.

People who do not have computer equipment to register online on the waiting list or who have questions about COVID-19, Large Scale Testing or vaccination can contact the Health Hotline on (+352) 247-65533 available Monday to Sunday between 8.00 and 19.00.
