In the event of loss or theft, duplicates of the following documents may be requested:
- identification certificate;
- registration certificate;
- boating licence;
- endorsement of a foreign boating licence.
An administrative fee of EUR 24 is payable to obtain a duplicate. This fee is paid by purchasing a transferable chancellery stamp from the Registration Duties, Estates and VAT Authority (Administration de l'enregistrement, des domaines et de la TVA - AED).
The revenue stamp may be replaced by a bank transfer to the account LU76 0019 5955 4404 7000 (BCEELULL), in the name of "Direction de l'enregistrement et des domaines, bureau de Diekirch – recette", using as the reference the applicant’s last name, followed by the phrase "Identification menue embarcation de plaisance". In this case, proof of the completed bank transfer should be sent along with the request.
How to proceed
Requests for duplicates are submitted to the Luxembourg Maritime Administration (Commissariat aux affaires maritimes - CAM) using the official duplicate request form.
No other documents need to be included with the request.
