In the event of loss or theft, duplicates of the following documents may be requested:
- identification certificate;
- registration certificate;
- boating licence;
- endorsement of a foreign boating licence.
An administrative fee of EUR 24 is payable to obtain a duplicate. This fee is paid by purchasing a transferable chancellery stamp from the Registration Duties, Estates and VAT Authority (Administration de l’enregistrement, des domaines et de la TVA - AED).
The revenue stamp may be replaced by a bank transfer to the account LU09 1111 7026 5281 0000, in the name of "Administration de l’enregistrement, des domaines et de la TVA, bureau de Diekirch – recette" (Registration Duties, Estates and VAT Authority, Diekirch office – Receipts), using as the reference the owner’s last name, followed by the phrase "Identification menue embarcation de plaisance". In this case, proof of the completed bank transfer should be sent along with the request.
How to proceed
Requests for duplicates are submitted to the Luxembourg Maritime Administration (Commissariat aux affaires maritimes - CAM) using the official duplicate request form.
No other documents need to be included with the request.
