Appointment booking

In order to benefit from personalised assistance from the Joint Social Security Centre (Centre commun de la sécurité sociale - CCSS), it is now possible to book an appointment with an agent at the CCSS headquarters online.

You can book an appointment online via MyGuichet.lu without using a LuxTrust product.

Please note: procedures that do not require an appointment must be carried out directly via the CCSS website.

The insured can also find answers to their questions:

  • on the CCSS website and in the CCSS FAQ; or
  • by phone at (+352) 40 141-1 (available from Monday to Friday from 8.00 to 16.00); or
  • by email to ccss@secu.lu.

Who is concerned

Anyone who wishes to book an appointment with the CCSS and who:

  • is either resident or non-resident;
  • has or does not have a 13-digit national identification number (matricule);
  • has a contributory account as an employer, self-employed person or voluntary insured person;
  • has hired housekeeping or care staff in their private household.

If a person does not have the material possibility to book an appointment, they can contact the CCSS by email or phone so that an agent can set up an appointment for them.

An appointment can only be scheduled for the next working day at the earliest. The appointment confirmation can be sent:

  • by email; or
  • by post (if the appointment has been made by an agent).

Costs

Booking an appointment online is free of charge.

How to proceed

Filing an application

The applicant must book an appointment online using MyGuichet.lu.

Scheduling an appointment

After having submitted their application, the applicant must:

  • state the nature of their affiliation to the CCSS;
  • provide information on the exact purpose of the appointment request;
  • choose the date and time of their appointment among the proposed time slots.

The administration's response

Once the request for an appointment has been sent, a confirmation of the appointment request is sent to the applicant.

This document contains:

  • the applicant's name;
  • the date, time and location of the appointment;
  • the appointment reference number;
  • a QR Code that must be presented at the appointment.

In the event of an appointment at the CCSS main office, the applicant can either :

  • bring the printed the document and scan the QR Code using the terminals at the entrance of the CCSS on the day of the appointment;
  • or scan the QR Code directly on their mobile phone or tablet on the day of the appointment.

Please note: the appointment confirmation with the QR Code must be brought on the day of the appointment.

Cancellation of an appointment

Appointments may be cancelled by a CCSS agent. In this case, the applicant receives a notification that the appointment has been cancelled.

Cancellation of appointments by the applicant can be done online via MyGuichet.lu using the link provided in the appointment confirmation.

To cancel an appointment online, the applicant must indicate:

  • the appointment reference number;
  • the following information:
    • their 13-digit Luxembourg national identification number (matricule); or
    • their date of birth.
