Loss, theft or deterioration of the residence document of a British national or his/her family member as a beneficiary of the Withdrawal Agreement

Last update

In the event of loss, theft or deterioration of their residence permit, British nationals and their family members, as beneficiaries of the Withdrawal Agreement, must complete the replacement application, return it to the Immigration Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade and attach:

  • for British nationals: a copy of their passport or national identity card;
  • for third country nationals who are family members of a British national: a full copy of their passport (all pages);
  • in the event of loss or theft of the residence document: the declaration of theft/loss established by the police;
  • in the event of damage to the residence document: the damaged residence document.

If the documents are not drawn up in German, French or English, an official translation by a sworn translator must be attached.
