Certificat de résidence

Le certificat de résidence est un document officiel qui atteste de votre domicile légal, c’est-à-dire l’adresse où vous êtes inscrit au Registre national des personnes physiques (RNPP). Un tel certificat peut être délivré :
- dans votre commune de résidence (sur place ou, pour certaines communes, en ligne) ;
- en ligne via MyGuichet.lu ou l’application mobile MyGuichet.lu.
Ce document peut être demandé comme pièce justificative lors de certaines démarches administratives. Si vous avez besoin d’un document qui contient également des informations sur la composition de votre ménage, vous pouvez obtenir un certificat de résidence élargi.
En principe, les administrations demandent un certificat qui date de moins de 3 mois.

Toute personne identifiée au RNPP qui réside au Luxembourg.
Conditions préalables
Pour générer un certificat de résidence via MyGuichet.lu, vous devez disposer d’un espace privé. Pour créer un tel espace, vous avez besoin d’un produit d’authentification, c’est-à-dire :
- un produit LuxTrust ;
- une carte d’identité électronique luxembourgeoise (eID) ; ou
- un moyen eIDAS d’un autre pays européen.

Modalités pratiques

Le certificat de résidence mentionne les données personnelles suivantes :
- vos noms et prénoms ;
- votre sexe ;
- vos dates et lieu de naissance ;
- l’adresse à laquelle vous êtes inscrit au RNPP.
Si nécessaire, il est également possible d’ajouter les informations suivantes :
- votre numéro d’identification national luxembourgeois à 13 chiffres (Matricule) ;
- votre situation de famille avec les noms, prénoms, date et lieu de naissance de votre conjoint ou partenaire enregistré ;
- votre nationalité ;
- vos précédentes adresses auxquelles vous avez été inscrit dans le RNPP (ajouté obligatoirement si aucune adresse actuelle n’est inscrite au RNPP).
Pour chaque adresse, la période pendant laquelle vous y étiez déclaré est également indiquée.
Vous pouvez également demander un certificat de résidence élargi. Ce certificat remplace l’ancien "certificat de composition de ménage" et mentionne :
- les mêmes données personnelles qui vous concernent que celles qui figurent sur le certificat de résidence ; et
- en plus, les données personnelles des personnes (enfants, conjoint ou partenaire enregistré) qui ont la même résidence habituelle que vous.
Si nécessaire, il est également possible d’ajouter les informations suivantes sur vous et les personnes qui ont la même résidence habituelle que vous :
- le numéro d’identification national luxembourgeois à 13 chiffres (Matricule) ;
- la nationalité.

Vous pouvez générer un certificat de résidence ainsi qu’un certificat de résidence élargi en ligne dans votre espace privé sur MyGuichet.lu. Vous pouvez alors le télécharger au format PDF et l’imprimer si nécessaire. Pour ce faire, effectuez les étapes suivantes :
- Connectez-vous à MyGuichet.lu.
- Si vous avez plusieurs espaces, sélectionnez votre espace privé.
- Cliquez sur "Mes données".
- En fonction de ce dont vous avez besoin, cliquez sur "Certificat de résidence" ou "Certificat de résidence élargi" dans la thématique "Citoyenneté".
- Sélectionnez les options de votre choix.
- Cliquez sur "Générer".
- Cliquez sur le champ qui apparaît en bas de la page pour télécharger le certificat.
Les parents ne sont pas mentionnés sur le certificat de résidence ni sur le certificat de résidence élargi. Donc, si vous vivez chez vos parents et que vous avez besoin d’un document sur lequel figurent tous les membres du ménage, vous devez demander à l’un de vos parents qu’il télécharge le certificat dans son espace.
Si vous constatez que les informations inscrites au RNPP ne sont pas correctes, vous pouvez demander une rectification.
Le bureau de la population de votre commune de résidence peut vous délivrer un certificat de résidence ainsi qu’un certificat de résidence élargi. Pour plus d’informations sur la demande (heures d’ouverture du bureau, présentation des pièces justificatives, etc.), veuillez vous adresser directement à votre commune de résidence.
