Obtaining a cabin crew attestation for cabin crew involved in commercial operations

All cabin crew members involved in commercial operations must have a cabin crew attestation.

Who is concerned

All applicants who meet the prerequisites and wish to obtain a cabin crew attestation.

Prerequisites

To obtain a cabin crew attestation, applicants must:

  • be at least 18 years of age; and
  • have completed the training described in Subpart TRA of Part-CC in Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 at a training establishment duly certified by the Directorate of Civil Aviation (Direction de l'Aviation Civile – DAC), and have passed the corresponding examination.

Costs

Applicants must pay a fee of EUR 71 by wire transfer to the bank account of ALSA S.A.

To receive a duplicate of a cabin crew attestation, only the fee in the amount of EUR 26 is due.
 

How to proceed

Filing an application

In Luxembourg, cabin crew attestations are issued by the DAC.

The DAC currently issues cabin crew attestations only to candidates who have completed their training in an organisation approved by the DAC in accordance with Annex V, subpart TRA of Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011.

Candidates must submit their application by post or email using the corresponding form (DAC-LIC 601-01).

Supporting documents

Applications must be accompanied by:

  • proof of training;
  • a medical certificate;
  • proof of successful completion of the final examination;
  • proof of payment.
