Many organisations offer qualifying and specialised training courses in various sectors of activity. Here are some key resources.
- lifelong-learning.lu: the national portal for lifelong learning, which brings together more than 300 accredited organisations. It offers:
- information on financial aid, legislation, validation of acquired experience (VAE) and continuing education diplomas;
- an intuitive search engine to find training courses that match your objectives.
- House of Training: continuing education courses for businesses in finance, law and management, as well as sector-specific and personal development courses.
- Luxembourg Lifelong Learning Center (LLLC): evening classes, seminars and professional certifications for individuals and businesses.
- Competence Centre – University of Luxembourg: training programmes for individuals, employees, job seekers and liberal professions.
- Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts: practical and theoretical training courses for the craft industry and technical professions.
- Chamber of Commerce: continuing education courses in finance, management, law, etc.
- National Youth Service (SNJ): training and apprenticeship programmes for young adults.
- National Institute for Languages: modern language courses and language skills certification.

Attend specialised events
Attend trade fairs and forums dedicated to vocational training (e.g. Moovijob Day, events organised by professional chambers, RTL Jobdag).
These events allow you to meet organisations, ask questions and compare offers.
Before registering, consult the opinions of former participants on forums, social networks or directly with the organisations.
Request specific leave
- Individual training leave: This leave allows you to take time off work to participate in a recognised training course, to prepare for exams or carry out an activity related to your professional development.
- Unpaid leave for training purposes: Unpaid leave for training purposes is a special type of leave for employees in the private sector. This leave allows you to temporarily take a break from your professional commitments in order to undertake professional training on a personal basis for a specified period of time.
- Linguistic leave: You can also request linguistic leave to learn or improve your Luxembourgish skills. You are entitled to this paid leave for up to 200 hours during your whole career.

If you are in a redeployment measure or currently unemployed, you must register as a jobseeker with the ADEM in order to benefit from:
- personalised assistance;
- access to job offers and training;
- aid for vocational training (subject to conditions).
