Tourist information offices - Application for a subsidy for the maintenance of walking trails (English, Pdf, 306 Kb)

This subsidy is aimed at tourist information offices (syndicat d'initiative) for maintenance work carried out on walking trails for the purpose of keeping them accessible and usable.

The types of work taken into consideration are:

  • cleaning;
  • weed and grass cutting;
  • replacement of posts and panels;
  • repair of benches;
  • emptying rubbish bins, etc.

Personnes concernées

It is only the tourist information offices actively promoting tourism that can benefit from the subsidy.

Délais

The application must be submitted:

  • after the completion of the works, together with the required supporting documents; and
  • at the latest by 15 December of the year for which the subsidy is requested.

Modalités pratiques

Filing an application

The applicant must submit a duly completed aid application using the form provided for this purpose to the General Directorate for Tourism.

The application can be submitted electronically to the email address aides.tourisme@eco.etat.lu.

If the application is submitted by post, the following address should be used:

Supporting documents

Applications must be accompanied by:

  • copies of invoices;
  • proof of payment of said invoices;

Amount of aid

The subsidy comes in the form of a financial aid paid to the beneficiary.

The amount of aid is determined by the General Directorate for Tourism depending on:

  • the type and volume of work completed by the tourist information office;
  • the available budget.

Payment

The subsidy is awarded as soon as possible after receiving the application, in the form of a direct payment of public financial aid to the beneficiary.
