These changes must be entered in the professional register, as well as in the registers of the Medical Board and the Veterinary Board.
The register of licences to practise in the healthcare sector is of crucial importance to the Ministry of Health and Social Security (hereinafter 'the Ministry'). It enables the consolidation of administrative and professional details of healthcare professionals who have been granted authorisation to practise in Luxembourg.
Healthcare professionals must enrol in this register. They are also required to report any changes to their details within one month of the change. These notifications can be submitted online via MyGuichet.lu.
Who is concerned
Any healthcare professional who holds a valid licence to practise in the register of licences to practise.
Information associated with inactive licences cannot be edited directly as part of this information update procedure.
Prerequisites
You must:
- hold a valid licence to practise issued by the Ministry and be active in your profession.
When using the online procedure via MyGuichet.lu, you will be informed whether your licences are still valid under the law. If your licence has expired, you will be informed that you can renew it online via MyGuichet.lu;
- have a national identification number (matricule); and
- have a LuxTrust or equivalent product.
Deadlines
You must inform the ministry of any changes to your personal details or your employment status within one month.

Filing an application
You can submit your update request online via MyGuichet.lu. This is a procedure that requires authentication using a LuxTrust product or an electronic identity card (eID).
Once you have submitted your application, you will receive any related messages/notifications by email.
Supporting documents
The Ministry may request supporting documents to verify any new professional information.
Application processing time
Your file will be processed by the Ministry as soon as possible once the procedure has been submitted.
Penalties
If you fail to update your professional details within one month, disciplinary action may be taken.
