Listing in the register of photovoltaic installers and pre-financing for photovoltaic systems

Last update

Are you considering installing solar panels on your home? Your project can be made easier thanks to pre-financing of financial aid for photovoltaic installations.

This scheme allows individuals to benefit immediately from the 'Klimabonus' subsidy, which is deducted directly from the final invoice by the installer, meaning there is no need to wait for payment from the government.

This subsidy applies:

  • to photovoltaic systems; and
  • whether or not combined with a domestic electricity battery.

In order to benefit from the subsidy, the installer must:

  • be registered in the register of photovoltaic installers who are approved for the pre-financing procedure;
  • submit the application for pre-financing to the Ministry of the Economy.

These procedures must be completed online via MyGuichet.lu using authentication that requires:

  • a LuxTrust product;
  • an eIDAS-compliant solution.

The pre-financing application is submitted on behalf of the beneficiary (not by the beneficiary). The beneficiary simply needs to fill in a 'mandate' form, which the installer will forward to the Ministry of the Economy.

The register of approved installers is published and updated by the Ministry of the Economy, and can be found here.

Similarly, an online calculator to determine the exact amount of the subsidy is available here.
