Making an appointment with the Health Insurance Fund for Communal Civil Servants and Employees

Last update

For security reasons, and in order to comply with social distancing measures, it is possible to make an appointment online with the Health Insurance Fund for Communal Civil Servants and Employees (Caisse de maladie des fonctionnaires et employés communaux - CMFEC) using MyGuichet.lu.

Who is concerned

Any person, whether resident in Luxembourg or not, who wishes to make an appointment on the premises of the CMFEC:

  • for themselves or on behalf of any other person affiliated with the CMFEC;
  • whether they have a 13-digit national identification number (matricule) or not.

Costs

The procedure is free of charge.

How to proceed

Submitting the application

The procedure can be completed with or without using LuxTrust authentication.

In order to carry out the application, applicants must agree to the processing of their personal data for the purpose of booking the appointment. In addition, they must provide the following contact details:

  • their name and first name;
  • if applicable, their 13-digit Luxembourg identification number (matricule), otherwise, their date and place of birth;
  • their email address and phone number;
  • their address and country of residence.

If the applicant is not the insured for whom the appointment is being requested, then the applicant must provide:

  • the insured's personal details:
    • their name and first name;
    • if applicable, their 13-digit Luxembourg identification number (matricule), otherwise, their date and place of birth;
  • their family ties with the insured;
  • the insured's address, if different from the applicant's address.

Please note: if the appointment is made for a person other than the applicant's minor child, no information concerning sensitive data can be communicated unless the insured is personally present at the appointment.

Scheduling an appointment

The applicant must choose an appointment which is set at the earliest 2 days after the date of the application.

They must then indicate the purpose of the appointment and must, if necessary, provide additional information.

Following their request, applicants will first receive an acknowledgement of receipt of their application for an appointment. If the CMFEC accepts the appointment, it will send applicants an email to confirm the appointment within 24 or 48 hours.

The appointment requested only becomes final after being confirmed by the CMFEC.

Cancellation of the appointment

If, for any reason, an applicant is forced to cancel their appointment, they will be able to do so online using the link in the email received to confirm the appointment.

The CMFEC can also be contacted:

  • by phone (+352) 450515, from 08.00 to 11.30 and from 13.00 to 16,00; and
  • by email to cmfec@secu.lu.
