Ordering a certificate of affiliation or an income certificate from the Joint Social Security Centre (CCSS)
Last update
Certificates of affiliation and income certificates are issued by the Joint Social Security Centre (Centre commun de la sécurité sociale - CCSS). They can be generated directly via MyGuichet.lu or ordered online on the CCSS website.
The certificates are sent to the insured person:
- in electronic form to their private eSpace on MyGuichet.lu, provided they have previously activated the eDelivery function; or
- in paper form to their address as indicated in the National Registry of Natural Persons (RNPP).
Prerequisites
Preliminary steps
In order to receive their certificates in electronic format, the insured person must activate the eDelivery function before submitting their request.
How to proceed
Activation of the eDelivery function
The insured person can activate the eDelivery function via their private eSpace on MyGuichet.lu, in the My data tab. The button to activate this function can be found in the Health/Social section under Centre commun de la sécurité sociale (CCSS).
People who have a private eSpace linked to the mobile application can also activate the function in the My data tab of the mobile application. Because of the link, the function only needs to be activated once (either via the browser on a computer or in the application).
By activating the eDelivery function, the insured person opts out of receiving certificates by post. They can change their mind at any time by deactivating the function.
Application for a certificate
The application for a certificate of affiliation or an income certificate can be made directly from the private eSpace on MyGuichet.lu.
Once connected to your private eSpace via MyGuichet.lu or via the MyGuichet.lu mobile application, you just need to follow the steps below:
- go to the My data menu;
- select the Health/Social section;
- select the sub-section Centre commun de la sécurité sociale (CCSS);
- select the Certificate of affiliation or Income certificate page.
The request can also be made online directly on the CCSS website.
Delivery of the certificate
In the event of a request submitted from the private eSpace on MyGuichet.lu, the certificate is generated automatically and can be downloaded immediately in PDF format.
If applied for on the CCSS website, the certificate is delivered by post within 3 working days. If the insured person has activated the eDelivery option in their private eSpace on MyGuichet.lu, they are informed by email as soon as the certificate is available. They can find it in their private eSpace, in the eDelivery Inbox of the CCSS.
Good to know
In their private eSpace on MyGuichet.lu, the insured person can also consult the list with their occupations that are registered in the CCSS affiliation file. The list is also available in the 'Health/Social' section under 'Centre commun de la sécurité sociale (CCSS) / Affiliations'.
