Booking an appointment with the City of Luxembourg's Water Department

The City of Luxembourg's Water Department (Service Eaux) is embarking on a multi-year, water meter replacement programme.
To that end, residents whose water meters have been identified for replacement will be receiving a letter by post, asking them to book an appointment so that a technician can visit their home to change their meter.
This appointment can be booked online via MyGuichet.lu.
Who is concerned
Residents who have a water supply contract with the City of Luxembourg's Water Department – namely, residents of Luxembourg City and the communes of Bereldange, Bridel, Howald and Strassen.
Prerequisites
To be able to book your appointment, you must have received the City of Luxembourg's invitation letter. When booking your appointment, you will need to provide the code that appears in the letter.
Costs
Booking appointments is free of charge. The City of Luxembourg will cover all of the costs associated with changing the meter.
How to proceed
Submitting the application
You must book your appointment online on MyGuichet.lu. You can choose between:
- the procedure without authentication; or
- the procedure with authentication, using a valid means of authentication (LuxTrust, eID or eIDAS).
To book an appointment with authentication, you must first create a private eSpace on MyGuichet.lu. Further information on the subject is available in our help section.
If you are unable to book an appointment online, you can book your appointment by contacting the Water Department by phone on (+352) 47 96 43 01, from Monday to Friday, from 8.00 to 11.30, and from 13.00 to 16.00.
When booking your appointment, you will need to provide the code you received by post, and select your appointment time from among a list of possible time slots.
The administration's response
Once your application for an appointment has been submitted and accepted, you will receive an appointment confirmation message:
- by email, if the appointment was booked without authentication; or
- in the 'My messages' section in your private eSpace, if you booked your appointment using authentication (or if it was booked using the mobile app).
Please note that the appointment will only be confirmed the next working day at the earliest.
Cancelling an appointment
To cancel your appointment, you must call the Water Department so that a staff member can make a note of the cancellation and help you reschedule.
