Booking an appointment with the 'Higher Education Information' service

Summary:

You can make an appointment online via MyGuichet.lu to obtain information on higher education in Luxembourg and abroad (with the exception of information on financial aid).

The Higher Education Information service (Information études supérieures) of the Ministry of Research and Higher Education (ministère de la Recherche et de l’Enseignement supérieur - MESR) provides information on all topics related to higher education in Luxembourg and abroad, including:

  • admission requirements;
  • registration procedures;
  • study programmes;
  • return to academic studies;
  • recognition of study programmes.

You will also find a wealth of information on higher education on the mengstudien.lu website.

If you have any questions about financial aid (AideFi), please contact the Financial Aid department directly:

  • by email at aidefi@mesr.etat.lu;
  • by telephone on (+352) 247 88 650 from Monday to Friday, from 8.00 to 12.00 and 13.00 to 16.30.

You can only apply for financial aid (AideFi) via the online assistant available on MyGuichet.lu.

Who is concerned

Anyone who has questions about higher education in Luxembourg and abroad can make an appointment, regardless of their profile:

  • high school students, students or their parents;
  • adults wanting to return to school or professionals undergoing retraining.

How to proceed

Appointment booking

You can book an appointment online using MyGuichet.lu:

  • with authentication using:
    • a LuxTrust product;
    • a Luxembourg electronic identity card (eID).
    • an eIDAS-compliant means of identification from another European country;
  • without authentication.

If you do not have the technological means or skills to make an appointment online, you can contact the 'Higher Education Information' service by telephone in order to make an appointment. The service can be reached by telephone on (+352) 247 88 650 from Monday to Friday, from 8.00 to 12.00 and 13.00 to 16.30.

Appointment confirmation

You will receive an appointment confirmation:

  • in the section 'My messages' of your private eSpace if you booked your appointment using authentication (or if it was directly booked using the mobile app); or
  • by email if the appointment was booked without authentication.

Cancellation of an appointment

If you are unable to attend your appointment, you can cancel it online via MyGuichet.lu.

If you selected the procedure with authentication, you can cancel the appointment by clicking on 'Cancel this appointment' in:

  • the 'My appointments' section of your private eSpace; or
  • the 'Appointments' tab of your transmitted procedure, under 'My procedures'.

To cancel an appointment via the MyGuichet.lu mobile application on your smartphone, you must first click on the 3 dots and then on 'Cancel this appointment'.

If you selected the procedure without authentication, you can cancel the appointment by clicking on the link made available in the appointment confirmation.
