Booking an appointment at the Maison de l'orientation to obtain career guidance

You can book an appointment online via MyGuichet.lu to obtain educational and/or vocational guidance counselling.

To receive career guidance from the Maison de l'orientation, you can book an appointment via MyGuichet.lu for either a face-to-face meeting or an online meeting.

Please note that you can also visit the Maison de l’orientation (educational and vocational guidance centre) without an appointment to receive anonymous and free advice. In this case however, a waiting period may need to be taken into account, as those with appointments are given priority.

Who is concerned

All resident or non-resident persons who:

  • are at least 14 years of age;
  • are under 22 years of age on 1 September of the current year.

  • by email: orientation@men.lu.

Costs

Booking the appointment online and obtaining career guidance are free of charge.

How to proceed

Appointment booking

You can book an appointment online using MyGuichet.lu:

  • with authentication using:
    • a LuxTrust product;
    • a Luxembourg electronic identity card (eID).
    • an eIDAS-compliant means of identification from another European country;
  • without authentication.

To book an appointment with authentication, you must first create a private eSpace on MyGuichet.lu.

How to create a private eSpace on MyGuichet.lu

A tutorial is available to help you set up a private eSpace on MyGuichet.lu if you do not already have one.

If you do not have the technological means or skills to make an appointment online, you can also contact the Maison de l'orientation by telephone to schedule an appointment. It can be reached by telephone on (+352) 8002 81 81 from Monday to Friday, from 8.00 to 17.00.

Appointment confirmation

You will receive an appointment confirmation:

  • in the 'My messages' section of your private eSpace if you booked your appointment using authentication (or if it was directly booked using the mobile app); or
  • by email if the appointment was booked without authentication.

Cancelling an appointment

If you are unable to attend your appointment, you can cancel it online via MyGuichet.lu.

If you selected the procedure with authentication, you can cancel the appointment by clicking on 'Cancel this appointment' in:

  • the 'My appointments' section of your private eSpace; or
  • the 'Appointments' tab of your transmitted procedure, under 'My procedures'.

To cancel an online appointment or a face-to-face appointment via the mobile application 'MyGuichet.lu' on your smartphone, you must first click on the 3 dots and then on 'Cancel this appointment'.

If you selected the procedure without authentication, you can cancel the appointment by clicking on the link in the appointment confirmation.

If it is not possible to cancel the appointment online, you can contact the Maison de l’orientation directly by telephone.

The counselling department at the Maison de l’orientation is open to the public with or without an appointment from 8.00 to 17.00.
