SME Packages - Sustainability

Last update

As part of the SME Packages – Sustainability support programme, you will receive individualised assistance while identifying practical solutions to reduce your environmental impact. This will generate savings by reducing your energy or water consumption, improving your waste management, or reducing your carbon footprint.

By using SME Packages – Sustainability, you can combine economy and ecology by undertaking a first project that has a positive impact on the following areas:

  • energy: implementation of energy reduction tools;
  • water: implementation of water reduction tools;
  • waste: implementation of waste management or reduction tools, and tools of circularity;
  • carbon footprint: carbon assessment and action plan, potential for decarbonisation.

Who is concerned

Any company that:

  • has a business permit issued by the Ministry of the Economy;
  • meets the conditions for SMEs in terms of staff, annual turnover and annual balance sheet;
  • has its registered office in Luxembourg.

Prerequisites

Preliminary steps

Companies interested in SME Packages – Sustainability must first contact the House of Entrepreneurship of the Chamber of Commerce or the eHandwierk department of the Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts (for craft companies).

Companies must undergo a pre-analysis by the House of Entrepreneurship or the Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts, which helps the company to complete the grant application form.

Costs

To benefit from the SME Packages – Sustainability programme, companies must carry out a project worth between EUR 6,650 excl. VAT and EUR 25,000 excl. VAT.

How to proceed

Amount of aid

The amount of financial assistance granted by the Ministry of the Economy for the implementation of the positive impact solution is a fixed amount of EUR 5,000.

Companies will be reimbursed after the package is in place.

Procedure

Pre-analysis of your current situation

Make an appointment with the House of Entrepreneurship of the Chamber of Commerce or with the eHandwierk department of the Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts (for craft businesses) for a pre-analysis of your current situation in terms of sustainable development to identify priority actions.

Definition of your package and choice of service provider

You choose your package and the provider that best meets your expectations. Together, you define a quote of between EUR 6,650 excl. VAT and EUR 25,000 excl. VAT.

Submitting and reviewing your application

Your application for financial aid is completed by a House of Entrepreneurship adviser or by an eHandwierk adviser for craft businesses.

Your request is submitted to the Approval Committee (composed of both Chambers, Luxinnovation, Klima-Agence and the Ministry of the Economy), which analyses your application and will decide whether to approve it or not.

Once your application has been approved, you can proceed to approve the estimate and carry out the project.

Implementation of the package

The service provider implements the sustainable solution according to the chosen package.

Assessment of your package

Once the service provider has finished providing support, an evaluation meeting will determine your level of satisfaction and savings made. At that point, the application process will be deemed closed.

Your voucher

You pay the final bill to the provider. The Ministry of the Economy will provide you with a grant amounting to EUR 5,000.
