SME Packages - Sustainability
Last update
As part of the SME Packages – Sustainability support programme, you will receive individualised assistance while identifying practical solutions to reduce your environmental impact. This will generate savings by reducing your energy or water consumption, improving your waste management, or reducing your carbon footprint.
By using SME Packages – Sustainability, you can combine economy and ecology by undertaking a first project that has a positive impact on the following areas:
- energy: implementation of energy reduction tools;
- water: implementation of water reduction tools;
- waste: implementation of waste management or reduction tools, and tools of circularity;
- carbon footprint: carbon assessment and action plan, potential for decarbonisation.

Companies interested in SME Packages – Sustainability must first contact the House of Sustainability of the Chamber of Commerce or the eHandwierk department of the Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts (for craft companies).

How to proceed
Amount of aid

Procedure
Pre-analysis of your current situation
Make an appointment with the House of Sustainability of the Chamber of Commerce or with the eHandwierk department of the Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts (for craft businesses) for a pre-analysis of your current situation in terms of sustainable development to identify priority actions.
Definition of your package and choice of service provider
You choose your package and the provider that best meets your expectations. Together, you define a quote of between EUR 3,000 excl. VAT and EUR 25,000 excl. VAT.
Submitting and reviewing your application
Your application for financial aid is completed by a House of Sustainability adviser or by an eHandwierk adviser for craft businesses.
Your request is submitted to the Approval Committee (composed of both Chambers, Luxinnovation, Klima-Agence and the Ministry of the Economy), which analyses your application and will decide whether to approve it or not.
Once your application has been approved, you can proceed to approve the estimate and carry out the project.
Implementation of the package
The service provider implements the sustainable solution according to the chosen package.
Assessment of your package
Once the service provider has finished providing support, an evaluation meeting will determine your level of satisfaction and savings made. At that point, the application process will be deemed closed.
Your voucher
You pay the final bill to the provider. The Ministry of the Economy will provide you financial assistance of 70 % of eligible costs.
