The regulated professions without automatic recognition are:
- health care assistant;
- social and hygiene worker;
- social worker;
- care assistant for the elderly;
- surgical assistant;
- medical laboratory assistant;
- radiology technician;
- dieticia
- occupational therapist;
- anaesthetics and intensive care nurse;
- paediatric nurse;
- head nurse;
- psychiatric nurse;
- laboratory assistant;
- masseur;
- physiotherapist;
- speech therapist;
- orthoptist;
- curative teacher;
- chiropodist;
- osteopath;
- psychomotor therapist;
- practitioner;
- dentist;
- veterinary surgeon;
- pharmacist;
- midwife;
- nurse;
- psychotherapist;
- architect;
- interior architect;
- landscape architect;
- landscape engineer;
- consulting engineer in the construction sector;
- independent engineer (other than a construction engineer);
- town and country planner;
- surveyor;
- qualified educator;

Specification: practitioners, dentists, veterinary surgeons, pharmacists, midwives, nurses and architects fall into 2 categories:
- in principle: they are regulated professions with automatic recognition (list 3);
- unless the diploma has been obtained:
- in a country outside the European Union (EU); or
- within the EU but does not meet the criteria set out in the Annexes to Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications.
In the latter two cases, the professions then belong to list 2.
