Prosecutor General's Office

In the judicial administration, the Prosecutor General's Office (Parquet général) forms part of the Supreme Court of Justice. It is composed of the General Public Prosecutor and the prosecuting attorneys.

The Civil Register falls under the Prosecutor General's Office and is responsible for delivering certificates concerning the registration of partnerships (declaration or termination of a partnership). The office also manages the issuing of extracts from the criminal record which are generated from a register containing all sentences and convictions that have been pronounced by the Luxembourg criminal jurisdictions, and in some cases, by foreign criminal jurisdictions.
