Application for accreditation to issue energy performance certificates for buildings
Last update
Energy performance assessments and energy performance certificates (certificat de performance énergétique - CPE) for residential and non-residential buildings can be issued by:
- architects and consulting engineers, provided they are members of the Order of Architects and Consulting Engineers (Ordre des architectes et des ingénieurs-conseils - OAI); or

CPEs for new, non-residential buildings equipped with an active cooling system can only be issued by consulting engineers that are members of the OAI. The above-mentioned documents are issued in accordance with the provisions of the amended Grand Ducal regulation of 9 June 2021 on the energy performance of buildings.
These OAI members may issue the documents mentioned above without seeking prior approval from the Minister responsible for energy matters.
