Request for access to the ALARMIS system

Last update

Alarms must be transmitted via the ALARMIS public alarm transmission network.

A client who wishes to have a connection to the National intervention centre (Centre d’intervention national - CIN) of the Grand Ducal Police (PGD) must submit a request:

  • firstly, with POST Luxembourg; and
  • secondly, with the PGD.

The ALARMIS system connected to the National intervention centre CIN only processes alarms transmitted via ALARMIS which fall under the responsibility of the Grand Ducal Police (PGD), i.e. passive intruder alarms and active push-button alarms, but not fire alarms which, with a few exceptions, fall within the remit of the CGDIS.

An active alarm is any alarm that is triggered 'actively', i.e. manually by a person using a push-button. A passive alarm is an alarm triggered automatically by the installation, via one or more detectors.

Who is concerned

Anyone who is a client or wishes to become a client of the ALARMIS system and connect to the PGD's CIN.

    • then create a business eSpace.

  • of the Post ALARMIS service, please contact the Post sales department.

There is no charge from the PGD.

How to proceed

Existing client: request the certification of your business eSpace

If you are already an ALARMIS client, you must have your business eSpace on MyGuichet.lu certified by the PGD.

The certification procedure requires authentication on MyGuichet.lu. For authentication purposes, the user must have:

  • a LuxTrust product; or
  • an electronic identity card (eID).

Once the Grand Ducal Police have given their approval, they will send you a certification token by post.

New client: initial connection request

If you are a new ALARMIS client, you must submit an initial connection request via MyGuichet.lu. This procedure also requires authentication.

Follow the procedure and fill in the requested information.

In particular, you must state the reasons for your connection request by:

  • explaining why you wish to connect your alarm system to the PGD via the ALARMIS network;
  • attaching supporting documents to your application.

Response from the PGD

The PGD's processing of your request can have 2 different outcomes, namely:

  • a refusal from the PGD: you will receive a notification of the refusal in your MyGuichet.lu eSpace;
  • an approval from the PGD: you will receive a notification of approval in your MyGuichet.lu eSpace. You will also be informed of any subsequent steps you need to take to complete your file.

If your request is accepted, you will be given an ALARMIS client number via your business eSpace on MyGuichet.lu.

Obligations

You must have the system serviced annually by a specialist company to ensure that it is working properly. A copy of the certificate issued by this company may be requested by the PGD.

An annual alarm transmission test must be carried out.
