Anyone who has been vaccinated, tested negative or who has recovered from COVID-19 can download and/or consult their CovidCheck Certificate online on MyGuichet.lu.

This certificate is an EU Digital COVID Certificate (EU DCC) which:

  • is valid:
    • in all of the European Union (EU);
    • in Iceland;
    • in Liechtenstein;
    • in Norway;
    • in Switzerland;
  • contains a secure QR code that can be read by the applications in the different EU Member States in order to check that the certificate is genuine.

The CovidCheck Certificate constitutes proof in digital or paper format that a person:

  • has been vaccinated against COVID-19;
  • has received a negative COVID-19 test result;
  • has recovered from COVID-19.

The CovidCheck Certificate facilitates the free and safe movement of citizens within the participating countries during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Each parent can consult and/or download the CovidCheck Certificates of their minor children who are registered at the same address as they are.

Who is concerned?

Any person:

  • vaccinated in Luxembourg against COVID-19; and/or
  • who has received a negative COVID-19 test result; and/or
  • who has recovered from COVID-19; and
  • who has:

Prerequisites

In order to receive a CovidCheck Certificate, the person must:

  • be vaccinated in Luxembourg with one of the following vaccines:
    • BioNTech/Pfizer;  
    • Moderna;
    • AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria);
    • Johnson & Johnson (Janssen);
  • have a negative PCR test result carried out by a laboratory or a rapid antigen test, which must be certified by health professional
  • have a positive PCR test result.

A certificate of recovery will be issued after a positive COVID-19 PCR test result. 

Preliminary steps

Creation of a private eSpace on MyGuichet.lu.

In order to consult and download their CovidCheck Certificate on MyGuichet.lu, applicants must first:

  • connect to MyGuichet.lu with their LuxTrust product or electronic identity card (eID); and
  • create a private eSpace (Pdf, 3.49 Mb), if they do not already have one.

How to proceed

Download a CovidCheck Certificate

After the person concerned has created a private eSpace and/or logged in, they must:

  • click on "My data";
  • select "CovidCheck Certificates" in the "Health/Social" section;
  • consult/download the certificate of their choice as a PDF by clicking on the link provided. This may be a:
    • EU Digital COVID Certificate (following a vaccination);
    • EU Digital COVID Certificate (following a rapid antigen test);
    • EU Digital COVID Certificate (following a PCR test);
    • EU Digital COVID Certificate (following recovery).

Each parent can consult and/or download the CovidCheck Certificates of their minor children who are registered at the same address as they are.

Availability of the CovidCheck Certificate

The availability of the certificate in the private eSpace on MyGuichet.lu varies according to the case, namely:

  • in case of vaccination:
    • the certificate is available in the private eSpace on MyGuichet.lu;
    • for a person who has recovered from COVID-19:
      • who received their first vaccine dose up until 13 June 2021: they can request their vaccination certificate by contacting the Vaccination Helpline by phone or email at the following address helpdesk-vaccination@ms.etat.lu. In this case, the Helpline can cancel the second appointment and initiate the preparation of the final vaccination certificate;
      • who received their first vaccine dose on or after 14 June 2021: they can present themself at the vaccination centre with proof of a positive PCR test less than 6 months old.

In the case of a 2-dose vaccine, the person recovered from COVID-19 receives a certificate with a complete vaccination schedule (1 positive test + 1 dose of vaccine) and can decide whether to cancel the 2nd appointment or opt for the 2nd dose;

  • in case of a negative COVID-19 test certificate issued by a laboratory: the certificate is available in the private eSpace of MyGuichet.lu provided that the laboratory transmits the national identification number (matricule) of the person tested when generating the certificate;
  • in case of a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test certificate, certified by a health professional: the certificate is available in the private eSpace on MyGuichet.lu;
  • in case of a certificate of recovery:
    • if the positive PCR COVID-19 test is performed after 13 June 2021: the certificate is available in the private eSpace on MyGuichet.lu;
    • if the positive PCR COVID-19 test was performed within 6 months before 13 June 2021, the certificate will be available in the private eSpace on MyGuichet.lu as soon as possible.

Validity of the CovidCheck Certificate in Luxembourg

The validity of the CovidCheck Certificate in Luxembourg depends on the type of certificate, namely:

  • the vaccination certificate is valid for 270 days (9 months) from the date on which the vaccination schedule is considered to be complete. The validity of the certificate concerning the booster shot is unlimited;
  • the COVID-19 negative test certificate:
    • in case of PCR test: the certificate is valid for 48 hours;
    • in case of a rapid antigen test: the certificate is valid for 24 hours;
  • the recovery certificate is valid between the 11th and 180th day after the positive PCR test.

CovidCheck.lu

The CovidCheck Certificates available in the private eSpace on MyGuichet.lu contain a secure QR code that allows to check the authenticity and validity of the certificates. This QR code can be scanned with:

  • the CovidCheck.lu mobile application made available by the Luxembourg government; and
  • the equivalent applications from the different countries participating in this system:
    • the 27 EU Member States:
    • Iceland;
    • Liechtenstein;
    • Norway;
    • Switzerland.

The CovidCheck.lu mobile app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
