Housing Fund
The Housing Fund (Fonds du logement) is an independent public-sector establishment created in 1979 and currently governed by the law of 24 April 2017.
The Fund's mission is:
- the rental of social housing within the framework of housing aid:
- to natural persons (under the rules of articles 27 and 29 of the amended law of 25 February 1979 on financial aid for housing); or
- to legal persons with a non-profit purpose whose business object is to make housing available to the disadvantaged population;
- the transfer of housing by sale, long-term lease (emphyteusis), or a combination of both, to persons who meet the conditions for receiving a subsidy as provided for by the amended law of 25 February 1979 on financial aid for housing.
