For many of us, filing our tax return is a tedious task that often takes a long time and involves a lot of paperwork. But did you know that there is a much easier and quicker way to fill it in? The solution: the electronic assistant on MyGuichet.lu, available for the 2024 tax year as of today.

Before starting the procedure, you will be asked a series of questions to check whether you meet the conditions to complete your tax return via the electronic assistant.

If you do not fall into the electronic assistant's target audience, you can file your tax return by either sending the PDF version via MyGuichet.lu or by post.

By filling in the tax return using the electronic assistant, the Luxembourg Inland Revenue (ACD) can collect the data that it will use in the future to pre-fill your return, thus making your task easier.

This is a procedure requiring authentication, you will therefore need:

• a LuxTrust product; or
• a Luxembourg electronic identity card (eID).

You must also register on MyGuichet.lu and create a private eSpace.

As part of its 123easy campaign, the ACD, in collaboration with user experience experts from the Government IT Centre (CTIE), is also currently conducting a survey with a view to improving your experience with filing tax returns via MyGuichet.lu. There is no right or wrong answer, we would simply like to have your feedback!

The survey is anonymous and available in 3 languages (English, German and French).
