The law of 20 July 2023 amending the law of 12 September 2003 relating to persons with disabilities came into force on 24 July 2023. Under the terms of this law, the repayment of the allowance for severely disabled persons (RPGH) from the estate of the beneficiary has been abolished.

As a result, the National Solidarity Fund no longer claims repayment of the allowance for severely disabled persons from the beneficiary's heirs after this date.

Mortgages registered on beneficiaries' real estate to guarantee repayment will also be abolished.
