If you wish to hunt on Luxembourg territory, you must hold a hunting permit. This annual authorisation can be obtained subject to certain conditions and against payment of a fee of EUR 230.

Hunting permits can now be applied for online via MyGuichet.lu:

• with or without a LuxTrust product or electronic identity card (eID); and
• without having to first pay the fee: payment is made directly online as part of the procedure.

The procedure can be carried out online using MyGuichet.lu, whether it is for:

• a 1^st permit application; or
• a renewal.

The application for an annual hunting permit can still be made by post, but this process requires an advance payment of the EUR 230 fee by bank transfer.

As a reminder, in order to obtain an annual hunting permit, it is necessary to:

• provide:
  • a Luxembourg certificate of aptitude for hunting; or
  • a certificate issued by a foreign authority (under conditions);
• hold a civil liability hunting insurance, valid from the day of application for the hunting permit until the end of the hunting year (31 March inclusive).
