Two new calls for tenders have been launched to encourage Luxembourg businesses to install and operate photovoltaic power stations. They offer 2 types of support:

• investment aid: a subsidy is granted to encourage companies to produce their own energy. The subsidy is paid when the photovoltaic power plant is put into service; or
• operating aid, which in principle allows the company to enter into a market premium contract for a period of 15 years. During this period, the company is paid according to the electricity it produces and feeds into the grid.

Specific sublots are made available for power plants equipped with a storage system.
