Aid for businesses affected by the rise in energy prices
Last update
Some businesses have been particularly hard hit by the rise in energy prices caused by Russia's aggression against Ukraine. To help these companies, 3 types of aid have been put in place. They are intended to cover:
- the extra costs for natural gas, electricity, heat and cooling incurred by energy-intensive businesses or high energy-consuming businesses;
- the extra costs for diesel fuel for businesses in the road freight transport, building and artisanal food production sectors;
- the extra costs for natural gas, electricity, biomass and injected heat for applicants who operate a heat production facility, a biogas production facility or a heating network.
Some changes have recently been made to these types of aid. They concern:
- the cost eligibility periods (all 3 types of aid are concerned);
- the deadlines for submitting applications for each eligible month (all 3 types of aid are concerned);
- the supporting documents that must accompany certain applications (the 3rd type of aid is concerned);
- the maximum amount of aid (the 3rd type of aid is concerned).
To find out more about these changes, please see our explanatory information page on the Aid scheme for businesses severely affected by the rise in energy prices.
