Food supplements

Food whose purpose is to supplement the normal diet and contain, alone or combined, concentrated sources of nutrients (vitamins and minerals) or other substances with a nutritional or physiological effect.

Food supplements are marketed in dose form and can be:

  •  capsules;
  •  lozenges;
  •  tablets;
  •  pills;
  •  powder;
  •  vials;
  •  drop dispensing bottles and other similar forms of preparations intended to be taken in small volume measured units.
