Environment Agency

The Environment Agency is in charge of developing and ensuring environmental protection. In order to achieve this goal, it carries out activities to:

  • encourage and provide information on any effort aimed at protecting the environment (e.g.: financial support for vehicles emitting low levels of CO2);
  • study and evaluate the impact of industrial, farming and urban activities on environmental health;
  • carry out environmental research;
  • oversee and ensure that legal provisions and regulations on the environment are applied.
