Environment Agency
The Environment Agency (Administration de l'environnement) is in charge of developing and ensuring environmental protection. In order to achieve this goal, it carries out activities to:
- encourage and provide information on any effort aimed at protecting the environment (e.g.: financial support for vehicles emitting low levels of CO2);
- study and evaluate the impact of industrial, farming and urban activities on environmental health;
- carry out environmental research;
- oversee and ensure that legal provisions and regulations on the environment are applied.
