Request a free and independent basic advisory session on energy transition, covering energy efficiency, sustainable housing, renewable energy, and electric mobility

Last update

Luxembourg has a national organisation called Klima-Agence, which serves as the key public partner and facilitator in mobilising and supporting Luxembourg's society in its energy transition.

Klima-Agence’s mission is aligned with the implementation of Luxembourg’s climate and energy policies as defined by the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan (Plan national intégré en matière d’énergie et de climat - PNEC). The goal is to achieve the country’s ambitious targets in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, expanding renewable energy, and improving energy efficiency by 2030.

Structured as an economic interest group (groupement d’intérêt économique - GIE) with a public purpose, Klima-Agence is supported by the State of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. It is represented by the Ministry of the Economy, the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity, and the Ministry of Housing and Spatial Planning, in collaboration with the Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts (Chambre des métiers - CDM) and the Order of Architects and Consulting Engineers (OAI).

The group's activities are aimed at:

  • reducing energy consumption;
  • promoting renewable energies;
  • sustainable housing;
  • electric mobility;
  • management of natural resources;
  • implementing circular economy.

As a partner to all consumers, Klima-Agence provides guidance and support in their efforts for a rational and sustainable use of energy.

With its team of advisers for a sustainable energy transition, Klima-Agence offers free and independent basic advisory sessions on topics such as:

  • sustainable energy renovation of existing homes;

  • the use of renewable energy sources (solar energy, heat pumps, wood heating, etc.);
  • day-to-day energy savings;

  • electric mobility;
  • available state aid programmes (Klimabonus, interest subsidy, state guarantee for climate loans, and Top-up Social Klimabonus);
  • the various types of aid available from communes and third parties.

How to proceed

Anyone interested in an individual session can schedule an appointment with a Klima-Agence adviser for a basic energy transition advisory session. It can take place at home, over the phone, or via video conference and can be requested through the online form on the klima-agence.lu website.

It is also possible to contact Klima-Agence directly:

An appointment at your home with a Klima-Agence adviser allows you to discuss a number of procedures, including the financial aid available, before making a decision on a renovation or sustainable construction project.

With personalised, independent, and free basic advisory sessions, individuals can address their questions and projects and receive guidance on available services and technologies tailored to their specific needs.
