Participate in the organised screening for familial hypercholesterolemia

Last update

The Health Directorate is organising a screening for familial hypercholesterolemia, which concerns families:

  • that are resident in Luxembourg and have a child aged 18 months. They will receive an invitation automatically;
  • that are non-resident. They can submit a request via MyGuichet.lu to obtain an invitation for their 18-month-old child to participate in the screening. This is a procedure without authentication.

The invitation is sent (either automatically or upon request) to any legal representative of a child:

  • aged 18 months who is affiliated with the Luxembourg social security system;
  • who has a 13-digit Luxembourg national identification number (Matricule); and
  • whether they are resident in Luxembourg or not.

This invitation contains a one-time login code (known as an OTP code), which is valid for 4 months from the date of receipt of the invitation. Past this deadline, you will no longer be able to make an appointment.

You must book an appointment for your child via MyGuichet.lu. You can use:

  • the procedure with authentication that requires a LuxTrust product, a Luxembourg electronic identity card (eID) or an eIDAS-compliant means of identification from another European country; or
  • the procedure without authentication.

You must complete the form, select the meeting location and choose a time slot from those available.

Find all the information you need about making an appointment and what happens after the screening in our explanatory text.
