Last update

Guichet.lu has just published new information pages in German in plain language that explain the procedures for communal elections in Luxembourg and provide information on:

  • registration of voters on the electoral roll;
  • postal voting;
  • standing for election; and
  • not being able to take part in communal elections.

Plain language consists in short sentences, easy words, explanations and images that make it easier for people with reading and comprehension difficulties to understand the explanatory information pages and procedures.

The staff at Guichet.lu has worked on the documents in plain language together with Klaro, the official office for plain language. Klaro is a service managed by the Association pour personnes en situation de handicap (APEMH - association for persons with disabilities).
