The application for membership or renewal of membership with the National Library of Luxembourg (BnL) can now be made online, free of charge, via MyGuichet.lu:

• with authentication using a LuxTrust product or an electronic identity card (eID); or
• by pupils and students, without authentication provided they:
  • are at least 14 years of age;
  • are enrolled in a Luxembourg secondary or higher education institution approved by the Luxembourg State;
  • reside in Luxembourg or in the neighbouring regions;
  • add a photocopy of their valid identity document and their valid school/student card; or
• by using the MyGuichet.lu mobile app.

If you are at least 14 years old, you can also register or renew your membership on site free of charge at the BnL reception desk.

However, home loans and access to digital resources are reserved for residents of Luxembourg or neighbouring regions.
