Commercial and craft activities in the north of Luxembourg: Guichet Unique PME

The Guichet Unique PME (point of single contact for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises - SMEs) provides assistance free of charge to SMEs in the North of Luxembourg. Thanks to its close cooperation with other communal and national institutions, it is able to respond precisely and quickly to questions relating to setting up a company or to working life in general. The services comprise:

  • assistance to businesses and entrepreneurs;
  • the organisation of training and conferences;
  • strengthening the overall regional dynamics;
  • support for the communal sector.

The services are free and non-binding and are aimed at SMEs that are planning to set up in a partner commune or are already established there.

Who is concerned

The Guichet Unique PME is aimed at:

  • anyone who wants to set up as a self-employed person or create a company in the north of Luxembourg; or
  • SMEs that already have a presence in a partner commune.

Officially recognised health professions and agricultural businesses cannot benefit from the services of the Guichet Unique PME.

How to proceed

Assistance - Support for business creation

The Guichet Unique PME can provide useful support to business creators in terms of:

  • advice on setting up a business;
  • assistance with administrative formalities;
  • advice on state aid and commercial law;
  • advice on taking over a business.

The services are aimed at entities affiliated to the Chamber of Commerce or the Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts, e.g. craftsmen, traders, real estate or consultancy firms, the catering sector (HORECA), etc.

Officially recognised health professions and agricultural businesses are excluded.

Assistance - Day-to-day management of the business

Individualised support can also be offered to existing businesses, in particular in the following areas:

  • assistance with the different administrative procedures;
  • assistance in setting up in a designated zone (zoning);
  • assistance in the event of cessation of activity or transfer of business;
  • individualised processing of business dossiers and referral to competent partners through the network of the Guichet Unique PME;
  • vocational training for business managers.

The services are aimed at entities affiliated to the Chamber of Commerce or the Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts, e.g. craftsmen, traders, real estate or consultancy firms, the catering sector (HORECA), etc.

Officially recognised health professions and agricultural businesses are excluded.
