New aid for the acquisition of zero-emission heavy goods vehicles
Last update
A new financial aid has been made available for businesses wishing to convert their fleet of vehicles used for road freight transport to 'zero emission' of CO₂ vehicles.
The new medium and heavy duty trucks (categories N2 and N3) equipped with zero-emission engines, such as pure electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, are thus eligible for this aid.
The same applies to the costs of retrofitting a combustion engine vehicle to a zero-emission heavy duty vehicle.
The amount of aid, which varies according to the size of the company, is calculated on the basis of:
- the extra cost, i.e. the difference between the cost of acquiring a zero-emission vehicle and the acquisition of an equivalent vehicle with internal combustion engine; or
- the costs of retrofitting to a zero-emission vehicle.
The aid is limited to a maximum of EUR 300,000 per group.
Applications for aid must be submitted online via MyGuichet.lu using a LuxTrust product or an electronic identity card (eID).
