You can directly apply for a partial refund of VAT paid in Luxembourg online using MyGuichet.lu after selling a new means of transport in another Member State of the European Union.

This application is open to any person (natural or legal) who:

• is not registered for VAT purposes under the normal taxation scheme (i.e. who does file VAT returns on a regular basis); and
• sells and transfers a new means of transport to a buyer established in another Member State of the European Union.

The application can be submitted via MyGuichet.lu without authentication using a LuxTrust product or an electronic identity card (eID).
