You now have the possibility to request your certificate of nationality online via MyGuichet.lu if you:

• are a Luxembourgish citizen;
• reside in Luxembourg; and
• require an official certificate of your nationality (e.g. for administrative, legal or international formalities).

This is a procedure requiring authentication. It requires an electronic signature with an authentication certificate that is embedded in:

• a LuxTrust product; or
• a Luxembourg electronic identity card (eID).

The certificate of Luxembourgish nationality is issued, on reasoned request, by the Nationality Office of the Ministry of Justice. It attests that you have Luxembourgish nationality until proof is provided to the contrary.
