You can apply online via MyGuichet.lu for the legalisation or apostille of a public document intended for a foreign authority.

A Luxembourg public document may require legal certification or an apostille, depending on the country in which it is to be presented.

You can submit your application online with or without authentication using:

• a LuxTrust product;
• a Luxembourg electronic identity card (eID); or
• an eIDAS-compliant means of authentication from another European country.

All applications pertaining to electronic documents must be submitted using authentication with one of the authentication products listed above.

Since 7 May 2026, for electronic documents submitted via MyGuichet.lu, the legalisation or apostille is issued in electronic form. You will receive the document bearing the e-legalisation or e-apostille in the 'My messages' section of your personal eSpace on MyGuichet.lu.
