Are you crossing the Luxembourg border and carrying an amount equal to or greater than EUR 10,000? In this case you must first file a cash declaration. You can now complete this procedure online via MyGuichet.lu.

This new service aims to simplify your administrative procedures and make it easier for you to meet your legal obligations before your arrival in or departure from Luxembourg.

The declaration requirement applies to:

• transport of cash in person; and
• unaccompanied transport of cash, i.e., cash sent by mail or transferred separately.

You can submit your declaration with or without authentication using a LuxTrust product.

The procedure is available online at any time and allows you to file your declaration in a simple, secure, and fast manner.

Other declaration options remain available. You can alternatively:

• present yourself at a Customs and Excise Agency office;
• submit your declaration directly at the airport.

Failure to comply with the declaration requirement may result in, among other things, the temporary withholding of funds and the issuance of a penalty notice.
