The ACD issues a warning about phishing attempts

The Luxembourg Inland Revenue (Administration des contributions directes - ACD) is warning that scammers are currently contacting taxpayers, including those abroad, by registered mail.

The scammers pose as official agents from the ACD and claim to be acting on its behalf: they request the payment of a sum of money within a short period of time. This document and the information it contains are fake, i.e.:

  • the indicated bank account for the payment;
  • the signature;
  • the name of the contact person;
  • the email addresses;
  • the telephone number.
