General Directorate for SME, Craft and Retail
The General Directorate for SME, Craft and Retail (Direction générale PME, artisanat et commerce) is the main point of contact for small and medium-sized businesses. It is active in the following 4 main areas:
- authorisation of establishment (business permit, notification of provision of services);
- support to SMEs;
- commercial practices (opening hours, sales, scams);
- SME policy.
Future entrepreneurs can submit their application for a business permit to the Business Permit Desk (Guichet Autorisations d'établissement) at the House of Entrepreneurship, where they can also track the progress of their application.
