A charging station is a fixed electrical device dedicated to charging electric vehicles and that is connected to the low-voltage distribution network and equipped with one or more charging connectors consisting of:

• either a charging outlet for electric vehicles;
  
• or a fixed cable with a charging connector for electric vehicles.

Each of these charging points communicates with the vehicle to adjust the charging power.
