Founded in 1995, the Lycée technique pour professions de santé is a public institution that arose from the merging of various institutions specialised in the paramedical area, with the aim of centralising studies and training programs linked to the health professions. The secondary school contains a single administrative facility with 4 training centres. Each centre has its own administrative and education team.

In addition to secondary technical education courses, the LTPS offers a specialised nursing program, leading to the award of an advanced technician certificate (brevet de technicien supérieur –BTS).
