Eis Schoul is a pilot school set up by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the University of Luxembourg and the City of Luxembourg. It is a public school that educates pupils in innovative ways. Located in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, it operates on a full-day schedule and accepts children from the pre-school level to the 6th year of primary school.
One of the school's aims is to make all children feel welcome, regardless of their differences and difficulties, while taking account of the diversity of their needs and the pace at which they learn. With this goal in mind, Eis Schoul relies on 2 basic concepts:
- inclusive pedagogy that focuses on differentiation and individualisation in learning;
- research: Eis Schoul hopes to develop new forms of learning, teaching and assessment through close collaboration with the University of Luxembourg.
