From 28 February 2022, anyone who has received their first vaccination dose against COVID-19 will receive 4 vouchers by post for a free certified rapid antigen test between their 1st and their 2nd dose.
These tests can be performed at one of the pharmacies listed in the following link: www.pharmacie.lu/test-rapides. It must be noted that these vouchers are free and personal, and valid until 30 April 2022.
In the context of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, it is possible to be vaccinated at the vaccination centre Hall Victor Hugo in Limpertsberg without having to make an appointment first.
Furthermore, since 1 March 2022, adults aged 18 or older can be vaccinated with the Nuvaxovid vaccine (Novavax) without prior appointment. This vaccine is based on 'traditional' technology and requires 2 doses with an interval of 28 days.
Who is concerned
The following are concerned:
- the primary vaccination:
- for a Luxembourg citizen or resident aged 5 or more; or
- for a cross-border worker;
- the booster dose:
- for a Luxembourg citizen or resident vaccinated abroad; or
- for a cross-border worker who received their primary vaccinations in Luxembourg.
The vaccination is free of charge.
How to proceed
Documents to bring
People wishing to be vaccinated without an appointment must present:
- their identity card;
- their social security card.
Specificities for minors
With regard to minors between 5 and 15 years of age, their parent or guardian must accompany them and be present at the day of the appointment.
Minors who cannot be accompanied by the person with parental authority must bring a completed consent form to the vaccination centre, dated and signed by their legal guardian (parent or guardian).
