Driving licence

I hold a valid driving licence issued in Luxembourg and live in the United Kingdom. Will I still be able to use my Luxembourg licence after Brexit?

Yes.

After the United Kingdom's withdrawal, a transition period will enter into force, during wich the current regulation will continue to apply. Your Luxembourg driving licence will continue to be recognised in the United Kingdom until the end of the transition period.

However, during the transition period, it is recommended that you exchange your Luxembourg driving licence for a British one. Please contact the UK authorities to find out about the terms of exchange.
