17 October is World Organ Donation Day. It is a good opportunity to remember that everyone has the power to save a life by donating their organs.

In Luxembourg, each person who deceases is a potential organ donor. This means that if you object to having your organs removed after your death, you must state your objection in writing, during your lifetime.

For this purpose, an organ donor card, known as a 'Passeport de vie', was introduced by the Ministry of Health.
