Holders of competition licences who practice a category A sport must undergo a periodical check-up during the calendar year in which they turn 12, 15, 20, 30, 40, 45 and 50 years of age.
However, in the context of the state of crisis, the duration of the validity of the sports medical examination for holders of competition licences, who in the course of 2021 turn 12, 15, 20, 30, 40, 45 or 50 years of age, is extended until 31 December 2022.
The extension of the validity also applies to basketball, football, handball, ice hockey and rugby referees.
This exceptional extension of the validity does not concern the abovementioned sportsmen and women, and referees, who passed their mandatory sports medical examination in 2020 or 2021.
