The REACH&CLP Helpdesk Luxembourg in collaboration with the Betriber&Emwelt platform is organising an online conference on how to get ready for the notification of information in the SCIP database. This online event takes place on 23 September 2020 from 14.00 to 16.20.
SCIP is the database for information on Substances of Concern In articles as such or in complex objects (products) established under the last amendment of the Waste Framework Directive (WFD) published in 2018. As from 5 January 2021, companies supplying articles containing substances of very high concern (SVHCs) in a concentration above 0.1 % weight by weight (w/w) on the EU market will have to submit information on these articles through the SCIP database.
The REACH&CLP Helpdesk Luxembourg offers this introductory session to help companies comply with their upcoming SCIP notification obligation, which is aimed to ensure that the information about the presence of SVHCs is available throughout the whole life cycle of products and materials, including at the waste stage.
This event is aimed at any company producing or supplying articles on the EU market that may contain substances of very high concern (SVHCs), including importers and recycling operators.
The presentations will be held in English and the participants will be given the opportunity to put their questions to the experts.
Interested persons are invited to consult our information pages on REACH & CLP.
Applications for the specific aid for in-store retail trade for September 2020 must be submitted no later than 31 October 2020.
