Launch of a call for projects with a social and societal impact

The Ministry of Labour, Employment and the Social and Solidarity Economy launches its call for projects with a social and societal impact in collaboration with Nyuko ASBL. The programme is called "Impuls 2020".

The societal impact company (société d'impact sociétal - SIS) is a legal form of business reserved for businesses active in the social and solidarity economy. It's meant for:

  • existing organisations in the form of a non-profit organisation (ASBL), foundation or cooperative
  • project leaders who wish to launch socially innovative activities.

The SIS has many benefits: better legal protection, an appropriate fiscal framework, access to public procurement, etc. There are, however, strict obligations in terms of transparency and governance.

The "Impuls 2020" programme, dedicated to supporting future entrepreneurs with high potential for social impact (social, societal and environmental) has been revised as a whole. The programme has 2 phases:

  • an acceleration phase from the presentation of the idea to the drawing up of a "simplified business plan" specially adapted to businesses active in the social and solidarity economy;
  • a new phase of tailor-made guidance to support future social entrepreneurs in starting up their company approved as a SIS.
Are you interested in the programme? You have an entrepreneurial spirit, wish to develop your project with a social impact in Luxembourg and want to create your SIS? Sign up here until 2 August.
